The Azure Kingfisher is probably my favourite bird. Not as colourful as Rainbow Lorikeets nor Rainbow Bee-eaters but the depth of the blues grabs me - it is still quite vivid in lower light. It is small for a Kingfisher and is a member of the pygmy / river Kingfisher family.
