This was one of those rare moments where everything slows down. I had the privilege of photographing a Geiko in Kyoto, seated in stillness just beyond the rush of the city. Her gesture, her gaze, even the folds of her yellow kimono felt deliberate and grounded. The space around her carried a quiet kind of beauty. I barely spoke while capturing this, just observed and listened. It’s not every day you get to witness tradition holding its own pace in a world that rarely stops.
