Behind The Scenes at New York Fashion Week

70mm · f/2.8 · 1/160 · ISO 640

This photo is part of a series I photographed in New York City during NYFW, featuring French trained fashion designer Bach Mai.

What drew me to this image was the way the soft backlight almost turns the space into a stage. The columns, the sheer plastic, and that bright opening create this quiet architectural frame around her. Then the pink and red of the look bring all the drama. I love how the pose feels calm but still full of movement, especially with the bow, the layered fabric, and that slight turn of her face.

It felt worth sharing because it has that mix I always enjoy in fashion photography: strong styling, a little mystery, beautiful light, and a moment that feels both composed and caught.
