A Fairytale With Better Styling

85mm · f/2.8 · 1/80 · ISO 640

This photo is part of a series I photographed in a redwood forest in the San Francisco Bay Area, featuring Mary Jayne wearing a BRAXTON design along with Nymi, the husky turned wolf, in our happy ending version of “Little Red Riding Hood.”

I had a lot of fun with this one. The whole scene felt like fashion wandered straight into a fairy tale. Mary Jayne’s red and black styling gives the image that bold storybook punch, while Nymi steals the spotlight with her perfect wolf energy. I love how she is sharp in the center, looking straight through the frame, while Mary Jayne is slightly blurred in the foreground. It makes the photo feel like you are stepping into the story from her point of view.

The redwoods, the soft forest light, the boots, the dress, and Nymi’s expression all came together in a way that felt playful, a little mysterious, and too good not to share :-)
