New Mexico Spanish Mission Church

The trowel marks do look fresh and I understand the village spreads fresh adobe on, or about Easter Sunday of each year. It's the backside of San Lorenzo de Picuris. The Picuris administration office issues permits to visit and are very welcoming.
Aha. Picuris. Last time I was there this church had scaffolding around it, they were doing some new construction. We used to go fishing in the mountains above Penasco, which is just west of there, in Santa Barbara Canyon. My wife and I back packed into the Pecos from Santa Barbara to photograph wild sheep. A lot of good memories in that area.
Very nice. I am not recognizing it offhand. Looks like they had just done some work on the adobe.
