This is an Ancient Pueblo grainary found in the Southwest U.S. It was built in a sheltered alcove between two types of lighter/darker sandstone. As one moves a few steps in either direction the ceiling appears to change color. I call this image The Spiderweb as there is one particular spot that brings the flamelike reflection to life. The image was shot with a 15mm wide angle lens.

My wife and I both have old legs and we made it (I encouraged an 82 year old friend to visit it last year and he was pleasantly surprised by its ease). It is an easy hike of about 1/2 mile up a very smooth sand wash. If you really want to see it I really think you should.
Would you mind telling me where it is? Also which church is that. I almost think it's the one at Truchas, NM but it isn't quite the same.
I sent you a PM. There are two churches in these images so I hope I sent you the correct one.
I am familiar with the Black Mesa Capilla. You explained the location of the second one. Last time I was there they were working on it so we didn't get to spend any time there. We used to go the the Santa Barbara Canyon which is just south of the town of Penasco to fish. Haven't been in that area for 20 years. I think I need to go back.
Wow, I really like this. The markings on the ceiling look like fingers of fire. There was a time when I would have set out to find it to hike to it. However, old legs...
