My favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. Harper Lee only released one other novel: an early draft of Mockingbird titled Go Set A Watchman. I listened to it as an audiobook right before arriving at Zion National Park, where this mountain featured in the image, coincidentally named “The Watchman”, stands as a sentinel over Zion Canyon.
The novel itself was incredibly moving, and I had it in mind as I hiked to this viewpoint and looked across at this particular mountain. As this was my first time visiting Zion, I felt equally as moved on this particular evening, looking out at this view. Now, whenever I look at this image, I am reminded both of the experience seeing Zion for the first time and the experience reading that particular novel.

very nice capture!
Thank you!!
Melanie, nice perspective of "The Watchman" not exactly the cliche image from HWY 9 / Virgin River bridge, or is it, just greatly zoomed or cropped? Like you story of Harper Lee's book! Nice work!
