What a morning! 🌄
The other day, it was freezing cold and there was ice on the water. As the sun rose, casting a burning orange hue over the city, the contrast between old Copenhagen and the modernist power plants on the horizon became even more striking.
In front of me was Kastellet, a well-preserved, star-shaped fortification built in 1624 and surrounded by a moat. Across the bridge stands St Alban’s Church, also known as the English Church, which stands out with its Gothic Revival style and serves the city’s Anglican community. It’s one of the most charming views in Copenhagen’s cultural and historical landscape.
