Storm over the Rockies

Having the Rockies in my back yard makes it to easy to create the typical image of our beautiful blue skies with the snow peaked Rockies. I have always felt that is to easy to create.
When the opportunity arises to create something different that shows how angry mother nature can become, I will take it.
The Rockies, like all locations can turn on you in a matter of minutes, and this is exactly what happened. 20-30 minutes before this shot was taken, the sky was the dark blue that you can really only find here in Colorado (and everyone who lives here will tell you only that blue exist here).
