The First Full Moon of this year. 01.11.17
The so called Cold Wolf Moon rising over the Costal Mountains of British Columbia and Texeda Island. I photograph the full moon every month of the year. This was a special treat as it is rare to have the last rays of sunset still on the scene when the moon appears. I was waiting knee deep in snow trying to avoid a group of duck hunters who unwittingly put me in the perfect spot, directly across the Salish Sea from where the moon rose that night. I always use my manfrotto tripod and ball head when shooting 'moonscapes' to help cope with the failing light.
