Gollum's Pool (Tawhai Falls)

I was lucky enough to find that I had Tawhai Falls all to myself when I arrived there just before sunset. It was my first visit to the falls and I hadn't purposely gone there for the sunset but had instead made a last minute decision when my original sunset subject, Mount Ngauruhoe (Mount Doom) decided that it was going to hide itself in thick cloud for the evening.
It turned out to be a great decision and getting to spend some time wandering around this very pretty waterfall on my own ended up being the highlight of my day!
