One of the most scenic roads I've ever driven down! State Highway 80 twists along the shores of Lake Pukaki for around 55km towards Aoraki/Mount Cook National Park and the into the heart of the Southern Alps. I spent a few hours enjoying a very cold sunrise with this view in front of me and not another soul around, so I was able to stand in the middle of the road without too many worries!
