This iconic point of view of the city of Matera in he Basilicata region of Italy has been photographed by some great photographers including Elia Locardi.
In this shot I combine a twilight picture of the city wth a replaced sky to add drama to the atmosphere of the scene.
Loved by some and hated by others, sky replacement can be a very polarizing subject however as a Fine art photographer I intend to create art that fits my vision and I am very happy with the final result in this particular image.
