This image proves that even with a very low KP Index, the elusive Aurora borealis can show up with quite a high intensity. I was already sleeping in my jeep, when i suddenly woke up and had to got... well outside. Standing there in the dark i had this little strange feeling that you get when you look in the night sky. I felt i should go to the beach to shoot some stars at least. I set up the tripod for a long exposure and saw some faint greens... with a pumping heart, alone in the wind suddenly it started to go wild... here i opted for a quite minimal composition with a corona exploding over the Reynisdrangar sea stacks. Once they were evil trolls attacking the shore, but as soon as the sun rose, they petrified...
