Kirkjufell is a 463m high mountain on the north coast of Iceland's Snæfellsnes peninsula, near the town of Grundarfjörður. It was the only real sunrise we could experience during the whole week in Iceland. I'm glad I experienced it in such a beautiful place! The night before I even doubted the weather forecast for the next morning, since we drove there in the night and tried to sleep in our small Suzuki, that nearly tipped over due to strong winds as I have never experienced them before. Luckily all went good and I could take this fantastic portfolio shot!
