As I walked around the ice battling the tornado like winds, I stumbled across this crack formation. I hunkered down and set up my camera, making sure to keep a handoff the camera to avoid it sliding away. Then something amazing happened the wind stopped, it was silent, it was still and I was able to take a series of shots without camera shake.
WOW - that is amazing. I love how crisp and clean the lines in the ice came out and the clarity of the mountains in the background while the clouds still show movement.
