This is Cindy, catering manager at my office and a very expectant mum to be. Cindy was incredibly brave not only to step in front of my camera but also to put herself at my disposal for the shoot in her delicate condition. Inspired by Annie Leibovitz amazing Vanity Fair work I wanted to show Cindy in all of her pregnant glory while still keeping her identity in the form of her heavy working-mans boots. My usual single SB900 flash off camera lighting kept the technical side to an absolute minimum and allowed me to concentrate getting Cindy in a calm and relaxing place. Gear: Second-hand D800, second-hand SB900, 70-200mm lens, hired blower, warm grey paper seamless. All settings on manual.
