Here is an incredible sunrise I captured at Abraham Lake. I've lived here 25 years and only found out about this amazing once I started photography. It looks calm, but I was getting pelted in the face with tiny chards of ice flying at least 50km an hour the entire morning. The good news about the wind is that it keeps the ice free of snow, allowing the frozen methane bubbles to be visible all winter long.
