Underwater

Swimmers warm up before the start of the fourth day of competition at the TYR Pro Swim Series at Indiana University Natatorium on May 17, 2018 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

I don't own any underwater equipment, so figuring out how to get a unique shot at this event was somewhat tricky. I eventually asked the coordinators if it was possible if I could get into the basement of the complex and use the windows that looked into the pool. Luckily, they said yes and allowed me to spend about an hour down there while the swimmers warmed up. I'll admit, a lot of this shot came about because of luck. I couldn't see the people before they jumped into the water and just had to hope they would end up in a nice shaft of light and the bubbles they created wouldn't obscure them too much.
