Chaya - Ringlight

"How do you take portrait like you do?"

I remember asking this question to a few dozen photographers 3 years ago. Their 1 or 2 paragraph replies never satisfied me. I swore if the day came where people asked me that question I'd do whatever I can to answer them.

Unfortunately I can't point anyone towards a specific article or tutorial. There's no one trick or YouTube video that will answer your questions or help you create amazing portraits over night.

Over the past 6 months I've written at least a dozen viral articles. I haven't covered every area of portraiture yet but there's more then enough to get started on. Links to various portrait related articles are below. I recommend you create an Fstoppers account and follow me to get notifications weekly when I post articles.

Beautiful light and tones. I think that I may prefer this light over what is in Lacey-Natural light......it is slightly warmer. But, both are nice in their own way.

Seeing all these ring light photos, makes me want to make one of my own! Love the light that it creates!!
