Katherine "Half and Half"

I am hoping for a yin yang outcome here. This is a revised version from an earlier post. I think I had some issues in the blacks that I hope have cleared up.

Hi Ruth. Had gone through your posts at other groups . This image appealed to me the most. I agree with the opinion "less predictable is interesting". I liked the concept of Black & White (so to say) and playing opposite. Studying about light in my small way. This work is indeed interesting for the same play.

Was inquisitive if you had considerd or tried having some separation between the body and its shadow which are at present merging. or this was deliberate effort.

Hey Vijay! Thanks for the words of encouragement. I did want the body and shadow to merge as I didn't want this to be an image of a "Woman in interesting lighting" but rather a study in light, shadow and lines which happen to be created using her form. I thought that, when there was separation between her and the shadow on the cement, it made the image too much about her. That was my thinking anyway! :)
