Ales Stenar (Ale's Stones) is a 1000-1500 year old stone setting; or stone ship; located in southern Sweeden.
The northwest stone (closest) marks the direction of sunset during summer solstice, while to opposite stone marks the direction of sunrise during winter solstice.
Getting this shot was not easy, as quite a few people had decided to visit this place at sunset, and with a 30 second exposure, it became difficult to get a shot without someone wandering through the center. In this shot there was only a person in the far right who was easily cloned out.
