Santa Ana River Trail Bridge

The Santa Ana River Trail runs from Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach for about 120 miles into the inland area of Southern California.

The wooden bridge you see here is located in the city of Anaheim, in the area of Imperial Highway and Yorba Linda Blvd.

As I walked along the trail, I was captivated and awed by the structure, including the shadows that were created along the boarded pathway.

On this day when I initially saw the bridge, the shadows along the boards weren't quite right, so I returned several hours later after taking photos along the trail and discovered that I needed to wait only for another 10 minutes or so before I had that 'line of nails' right where I wanted them to be.

I'm really pleased with the comp/perspective and decided that a b&w would be more suitable for this type of shot.

It was many years ago (June 2012) that I took this photo with a Panasonic DMC-FZ30. My equipment has been upgraded to a Canon 77D, of which I am completely satisfied (for the time being).

Your feedback is welcomed and appreciated. Thanks for taking a look.
