Washing Away

This is an abstract from a recent winter beach visit. There was a small strip of pattern in the sand that ran the entire length of the beach. It is between the sodden sand and the dry sand as the tide goes out. The darker color is the 'wet' section comes from both water and the heavier black sand grains settled in the ridges. I've taken many of these in the past but this is one the resonates with me as successful abstract composition.
