Winter Storm Grand Canyon

In late December 2019 I was able to make a trip to the Grand Canyon. We arrived just as a winter storm blew in. I knew that the storm would break and maybe, I could capture a truly amazing photo. Many things have to line up to get an amazing photo like this. The storm has to break right around sunrise or sunset, the sky has to be interesting, and you have to find the right subject. Everything on this trip lined up for me. We hiked in the dark, with headlamps and found this location. The stars aligned that morning, standing in the freezing cold for hours I was rewarded with this once in a lifetime photo.
