Horseshoe Bend

From 1,000 feet above the Colorado River falls this epic and classic landscape. Horseshoe Bend is a well know location for both tourist and photographers alike. While truly stunning at any time of day this classic landscape can be very changeling to shoot. Even in late December the parking lots can be full and you have to arrive hours before sunset to claim you spot. This photo is a time blend, while almost everyone leaves right after the sun inches below the horizon those who choose to wait the extra 20 minuets are rewarded with a sky full of color.
