What I experienced that evening I will remember for a long time! When I scouted this location for my next year's photo tour the plan was to take pictures of the beautiful city of Motovun in Istria with an incoming thunderstorm including lightning strikes in the background.
According to the weather app everything was fine... until the thunderstorm reached me much faster than I thought it would and then rolled over me from the side with full force.
Photography was out of the question and I had to run to the car. Completely drenched I had to think of a new idea for the shoot.
After I found a new composition that I liked, I could probably experience a wonderful sunset and a truly magical atmosphere until the late blue hour! The perseverance on location around a thunderstorm is usually worth it.
