Pier of Colors

These poles were illegally placed by local European settlers in the 1930’s, during an effort to build a pier to serve the area of central Israel. However, those plans were neglected due to WWII and the poles remained in the sea since then.

This picture was taken at the last days of summer, during a typical combination of calm sea and high cirrus clouds.
