I got this photo at the summit of Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National park in August of 2020. The first trick was to find a spot that wasn't mobbed with people. Next I looked for some kind of composition that worked. I liked this one because the gaps in the scrub made a kind of winding line down to the Porcupine Islands. The original was in color but I converted to monochrome and dodged and burned a bit more for the fake Ansel Adams critique. (Which I just realized I missed by two days!) Shot with my Nikon Z6 and 35mm 1.8s lens, handheld.
