At sunset, the alpenglow on the Sassolungo mountain group transforms Seiser Alm, in the Italian Dolomites, into a place out of a fairytale.
To reach this location, you need to do a pretty easy one-hour hike starting from Compatsch.
I shot this place many times, both at sunset and sunrise.
At sunset, you have direct light hitting the Sassolungo mountain group, which means in clear days you get the beautiful Alpenglow on the peaks, also called Enrosadira in Ladin, that is the indirect sunlight reflected or diffracted by the atmosphere after sunset.
Shot on Fujifilm X-T2 and the Fujinon 10-24mm at 24mm.
The main image was taken during the alpenglow on the Sassolungo mountain group, and the sky a little later.
