Among all the villages I visited on the island of Milos, Greece, Mandrakia is definitely one of my favorites. The typical “syrmata” boat houses are amazing at sunrise. And as a bonus, the restaurant here serves delicious grilled fish!

The light is so difficult in this village. The light is gone way before sunset because the sun sets under the hill, and the blue hour is so dark because there are hardly any city lamps.
I decided to shoot at sunrise because at least I had the side warm light illuminating the trees and the church tower.
