I believe "simplicity feel" is the key to successful portraiture work that captures the subject's mood and character, a portrait that intimately speaks to the viewer. However, most creatives know that it takes a complex, thought trough process to achieve this feeling of simplicity. First, I visualize the mood I wanted to communicate in my photograph and put together a set to fits that mood. Clothes-styling, hair, props, posing, etc., are all essential details contributing to the portrait result. I consider each one of them carefully.
In this portrait, I've utilized a combination of lighting gear to bring out my subject's features and overall presence. The post-processing I employed considered the particular mood I wished to create.
