A rock pool at the top of Turret Falls in the Grampians in western Victoria. Waterfalls attract me for their abstract possibilities much more than the spectacular vista. The falls themselves here are small, often just a trickle, but I can spend hours at the top with scenes like this trying to fashion intimate landscapes.
A number of people I respect want to crop off the bottom so the white line of foam doesn't run the viewer off the page, but it's my photo and I'll...
What a well-balanced and intriguing abstract Chris. I actually feel that the line at the bottom is an integral part of the composition.
Once again you demonstrate in this image your acute eye for detail.
Thanks for your kind words, as ever, Alan.
Brilliant image Chris!
Thanks for your kind words, Mike! It's one of my own personal favourites, and I've been unsuccessfully trying to top it, or even come close, since.
