The Cauldron

The Hard trek to Tumpak Sewu waterfall is not for the faint-hearted. It involves hiking through rocky terrain, steep slopes, and dense forests. The trail is narrow and slippery, and caution must be taken to avoid slipping or falling. Along the way, it is also necessary to cross streams and climb over boulders.

The Tumpak Sewu waterfall is a spectacular sight, with its multiple tiers cascading down a steep cliff. However, capturing the perfect photograph of this natural wonder is no easy task. One of the main challenges is the mist generated by the waterfall, which can obscure the view and make it difficult to focus.

Moreover, the lighting conditions can be tricky, especially if the sun is high in the sky, but sometimes you can use the high sun to your advantage as it may lead to light beams or rainbows.

Another challenge for photographers is the sheer scale of the waterfall. It can be challenging to capture its vastness within a single frame, and it may be necessary to use panoramic shots to convey the grandeur of the site as I’ve done by shooting a vertical panorama or vertorama.

Overall, the trek to Tumpak Sewu waterfall is demanding but rewarding for those who are up to the challenge. With some effort and the right techniques, photographers can capture stunning images of this magnificent natural wonder.
