Green-naped Lorikeet - Aquarium of the Pacific - Long Beach CA

This image was captured at the Aquarium of the Pacific's Lorikeet Forest Exhibit in Long Beach, California. It was a fun trip to see all of the sea life with a couple of grandkids in tow. Grandma and I were happy their mom was present too, wow the energy! We experienced the Lorikeet Forest Exhibit which certainly was one of the highlights of the day. The rest of my party all purchased cups of nectar to feed these amazingly colorful birds. Can you imagine the thrill of several of these guys flying up and landing on you? The smiles abounded! This particular Green-naped Lorikeet must have been full, as he was off to the side and not on anyone drinking. He gave me this look, almost a Peter Hurley Squinch, saying, "Yep, this is my GOOD side!
