Wonderful World of Colorfornia #2 / Raw Earth

This natural feature is nowhere a colorful and vibrant as when this image was made. The best as I can figure is several years of record monsoon storms and a first ever recorded hurricane these minerals just simply washed away. I have yet to pass this theory by any geologists for their opinion.
