Natural Color / Almost Black & White

I know how contrite and cliche selective color images have become unless your are the photographers that present them as a part of their “style” no malice intended. I as with many thing like to push to my style to alternative levels from the trends. And this is one of the times in a series I call Almost Color / Not Quiet Black & White. Here with this image I post I optimized the image as found up to a point as to what attracted me to this composition. When it came to my workflow of saturation my normal workflow paused and I masked out everything except the yellow gourds and proceeded to only saturate them. If you look real hard you will see hints of red in the small patches of earth here and there. Other than those patches and the yellowish gourds the plant leaves and stems were this almost slivery gray that I retained in the original scene.
