On my last visit to Anwerpen in July 2024, I visited the "Den Bell Tower" building. It looks quite unremarkable from the outside. It is very tall, but not very spectacular. But inside you'll find a spiral staircase that stretches over 13 floors. That's what's really spectacular about this building.
Technical data: Canon 5D Mark IV / Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM/ 35 mm / f/5.0 / 1/80 sec / ISO 200.
The light in this stairwell is difficult to handle.
I took a large number of pictures with different exposure values (handheld). In the end, I edited the image that I liked the best. I edited it in Photoshop Bridge and then edited it further in PS. I also used filters from the Nikfilter collection.

Den Bell Tower. Adress: Antwerpen, Francis-Wellespleen 1
Den Bell (pronounced as such by Antwerp residents) is a historic building in Antwerp South, on Francis Wellesplein. The building serves as an administrative building for the city of Antwerp (OCMW and various autonomous municipal companies), but is not intended for direct services to residents or businesses. The International Bell Telephone Company was persuaded by the Belgian government to establish itself in Belgium and in 1882 a production facility was opened in Antwerp under the name Bell Telephone Manufacturing Company as the first foreign branch and headquarters of the International Bell Telephone Company. Hugo Van Kuyck built Den Bell in 1953, with its characteristic 13-storey tower and fantastic spiral staircase.
