Stair Step Moss / Tangerine Bonnet Mushroom

A single brightly colored mushroom nestled among a forest of moss. When my subject is a mushroom what the best way to photograph it? In my opinion as low of a perspective as possible, usually ground level. Same with many wildflowers, invertebrates, herptile, small mammals etc. A big selling point of a tripod for me is a invert-able center column for “true” ground level perspective.
