If you drive Route 66, just east of Kingman, you will inevitably pass the "Hackman General Store". What looks like an old gas station at first glance, becomes, the closer you get,
to a true gem, a hodgepodge of all conceivable memories of the good old days. on Route 66. Here in this store I have this motif of the men's Restroom photographed. It looks the same on the ladies' Restroom, just with menpictures.

Excellent Herbert
Thank you very much, Marius. Greeting Herbert
This image is a fascinating study of nostalgia and excess, capturing a space that feels both chaotic and intentional. What I love about this photo is how the sheer volume of imagery overwhelms the viewer, creating a visually dense composition that tells a story about culture, time, and personal expression. The muted, slightly vintage tones add to the sense of stepping into a moment preserved from another era, making the scene even more immersive.
