Another image from my recent spring outing through the lush landscapes of Mazaricos. For this shot, I focused on a vibrant fern in the foreground—one of those compositions where everything depends on precision and patience.
When working with such close foregrounds, especially in scenes like this, achieving full sharpness in a single frame is nearly impossible. So, I used focus stacking to capture all the fine details. The real challenge, though, was the breeze: even the slightest movement ruins the ferns' alignment. After a few tries, I managed to get a version where the fern stood still enough.
In the background, the waterfall adds depth and movement to the scene, while the fresh spring greens of the forest bring everything to life. This time of year, the ferns are thriving and the waterfalls are flowing strong—perfect conditions for getting lost in the forest with a camera.
