I have been deep into AI for a while at this point and I have been integrating it into my life where possible. I use ChatGPT 4.0 instead of Google these days, though I did experiment with AI image generation in the last few years too. In 2021, I noticed an artist was doing particularly well in sales and something about this person's work bothered me. They were pseudonymous and never revealed their face, so for all intents and purposes, they were anonymous, but it was the style of the images that irked me.
After a few months, I realized that they had early beta access to an AI image generation tool (it may have been Midjourney, but I believe it was something else) and they had been honing their prompts to get a consistent style. This was before the AI explosion so nobody really knew what to look for and this person capitalized. From that moment, I have often wondered how I could use AI in my photography without it creating an entire image — simply enhancing the work I already do. Well, Aaron Nace at PHLEARN gives you a nice example in this video.
