Remote FaceTime Portraits With Boston Red Sox Players

We've seen plenty of portraits, fashion, and family shots done remotely throughout quarantine, but what about taking it up a notch? Check out these FaceTime portraits taken of Boston Red Sox baseball players!

Quarantine has seen us improvise with our businesses and creativity in many different ways. Remote shooting is still on trend as the restrictions across different countries still don't permit us fully returning back to shooting the way we are used to. While the governments all around the world are still trying to figure out a way forward, Billie Weiss, the Senior Manager of Photography for the Boston Red Sox, is not letting the lockdown slow him down.

Typically, Weiss would shoot creative portraits of Boston Red Sox players to be used on social media and for marketing purposes. As COVID-19 put a pause on sports, the photographer had to come up with a new way of creating visuals for the team, which turns out can be done on the floor in his living room! Players were up for the challenge and Weiss organized the shoot through FaceTime on his phone, which he photographed styled with the team's memorabilia around it.

In his video, Weiss runs his viewers through the whole process from start to finish and encourages all of us, whatever the idea or project, just to run with it. It may not always be easy to see it through but if you're passionate about it, it's definitely worth the effort!
