A Comprehensive Review of the Canon EOS R3 Mirrorless Camera

The Canon EOS R3 has arrived, building on the wild success of the EOS R5 by taking things to another level and offering professionals who demand the most extreme performance and capabilities an intriguing option. Does it live up to its specs? This fantastic video review takes a look.

Coming to you from Dustin Abbott, this great video review takes a look at the new Canon EOS R3 mirrorless camera. The EOS R5 was a groundbreaking camera for Canon, and the EOS R3 takes things a step further, bringing along more impressive capabilities and dropping them in a traditional professionally structured body. Its features include:

  • 24.1-megapixel backside-illuminated sensor with blackout-free shooting
  • 6K 60p raw video
  • 4K 120p 10-bit video without a crop
  • Eight stops of in-body image stabilization
  • 30 fps full-resolution continuous bursts
  • Eye-controlled autofocus
  • Deep Learning Technology autofocus

What is crazy to consider is that this is not Canon's flagship camera. That honor will belong to the upcoming EOS R1, though we have little information on what to expect from that at the moment. Nonetheless, for pro shooters looking for top-shelf capabilities, the EOS R3 looks like it will fill those needs quite well for the time being. Check out the video above for Abbott's full thoughts on the camera.
