- Internal Power Zoom mechanism and internal zoom and focus design to maintain good balance when using a gimbal
- Linear AF system for smooth and quiet autofocus and Smooth Motion Optics for reduced focus breathing, both for video applications
- Three aspherical and one ED elements for less distortion and better sharpness
- Two ED elements for less chromatic aberrations and better clarity
- Circular diaphragm for more pleasing bokeh
