It is starting to look like Fstoppers taking over PR department for Sony.... That camera is not even out yet and got so many articles here that you can print a book out of it 🤣 tell us something we don't know yet lol

"bringing to the masses"? What masses? it is a specialized sports and action camera. Only very few really need a global shutter. And it should not come with drawbacks in other areas. It is a fast camera, yes. But have you ever sorted out 100 images to find the best one? The price alone forbids this camera for "the masses".

It's the same point of Sony full frame mirrorless existence back in 2013... They did it first, but nobody remember the terrible AF, battery life, menu and other things which was rushed out of production to compete with DSLRs...

--- " but nobody remember the terrible AF, battery life…"

Speaking of rushed, Canon EOS R? To which was rushed out of production to compete with Sony's FF mirrorless.

You rushing your statements here 🤣 canon could remove the mirror from DSLR already before sony came out with a7... But that would make you another sad canon user 🤣

No rushing on my part. Just telling the timeline. Coulda woulda. But, Canon didn't, until Sony made them bend the knee to mirrorless. Canon had 85 years of camera experience and they bent the knee to a new comer of a new mount based on a system where everyone else failed. lol lol lol

I'm not a Canon user so, no, it would not have made me another sad Canon user. Sony's game changing innovations seems to make you one, though. Sorry about that.

Ah sure you buy old sony, put cheap samyang on it and do marketing specialist for them 🤣

You being a foreigner and all, not sure how it works where you come from, but, in the real world, when someone buys a camera brand new in 2019, it's considered buying new. Not old. Thought you should know.

Third party lens options are great. Just ask all those posting saying they are leaving Canon or will not buy a Canon because of Canon's greed.

--- "do marketing specialist for them"

This coming from someone constantly bringing up Canon's quad pixel af when he doesn't even a Canon with quad pixel af. Oh…my…god. LOL!

Your country must be bit behind.. Or maybe your planet? 2019 is 4 years old in Europe... That's quite old for Sony, don't you think? ... Third party lenses are great for ppl who have no money I know... 😉

"when he doesn't even a Canon with quad pixel af"... what language is that?

--- "2019 is 4 years old in Europe... That's quite old for Sony, don't you think?"

It's a little long in the tooth, but, not as old as your 6d and 5d. Riiight?

--- "Third party lenses are great for ppl who have no money I know..."

I'm sure you speak from experience.

--- "what language is that?"

It's English with a typo for our foreign friends with a typo argument.

Well....

That global shutter is going to be the measuring stick other cameras will be judged on. No matter what percentage of photographers needs it; or don't need it, if cameras going forward don't have it, they'll be snubbed. Snubbed like how if cameras didn't have superior Eye-AF, no one talked about them.

--- "But have you ever sorted out 100 images to find the best one?"

This may be an issue for new photographers. But, for the rest, that anticipates and picks their shots, it would be useful. Especially, in combination with pre-capture.

Yup... And then Canon will put quad pixel AF to new camera and if other cameras going forward don't have it, they'll be snubbed.... By ppl like you 🤣

What's a quad pixel af? Is that another Canon wet dream? Kinda like their supposed global shutter? hahaha

Kind a like you? 😉

What? Don't get lazy on me now, boy. You're a grown ass man with kindergarten comebacks. Sad.

This is why you are never going to win. Your arguments are based off what could have been, what might have been. In the meanwhile, I bitch-slap with actual events that have actually transpired. While you dwell in fantasy, I cite facts.

I am not here for that... That's to easy.. All I need for that is to buy sony camera and tell everyone how good Sony is... I bet you have an iPhone... And tell everyone about that

--- "All I need for that is to buy sony camera and tell everyone how good Sony is."

Then, for once in your life, you would be truthful.

--- "I bet you have an iPhone... And tell everyone about that"

I do have an iPhone, but, I don’t shoot with it. I only use it for communication and navigation.

Looks like you got your sony for the same purpose as your phone.. Just to slag ppl to feel better about yourself?

--- "Looks like you got your sony for the same purpose as your phone."

Do they not teach reading comprehension where you come from? I just said I use my phone for communication and navigation. Do you really think I got my Sony for communication and navigation? Lol this guy. Smh

--- "Just to slag ppl to feel better about yourself?"

Projection at it's finest. You are the one that initiates personal attacks when you are losing a debate. Then plays victim and cries foul. We were debating somewhat amicably at first, then, par for the course with you, you'd get triggered and act like a jilted and spiteful schoolgirl.

You won.. Congratulations 😉
