A Review of the Affordable Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 Lens

Viltrox has quickly grown into a respected manufacturer of lenses that offer good results at extremely competitive prices, and at $158, the AF 20mm f/2.8 is no exception to that trend. With a small footprint and a versatile focal length, can this lens deliver professional-level results despite its rock-bottom price? This excellent video review takes a look at the sort of performance and image quality you can expect from it in usage.

Coming to you from Christopher Frost, this great video review takes a look at the Viltrox AF 20mm f/2.8 lens for Sony E mount cameras. At just $158, this lens is extremely affordable, especially considering the presence of autofocus. 20mm has become a more popular focal length in recent years, as it offers a lot of room in the frame without the more significant distortion seen in a 16mm lens. It seems that Viltrox's option performs quite well, offering good sharpness wide open that improves noticeably when stopped down and controlling most aberrations well. Of course, it isn't perfect, but it turns in very respectable performance for the price, making it well worth a look for many uses. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts on the lens.
