A Review of the New Sigma 14mm f/1.4 Art Lens

A few years ago, Sigma released the 14mm f/1.8 Art lens, which had the widest maximum in a full frame 14mm lens by more than a stop. Recently, they released the 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art, which blows past the f/1.8 version by two-thirds of a stop and claims the title of the world's widest f/1.4 full frame lens. Can it offer performance and image quality to match? This excellent video review takes a look at everything you can expect.

Coming to you from Dustin Abbott, this comprehensive video review takes a look at the new Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art lens. I absolutely loved the Sigma 14mm f/1.8 when I reviewed it. Its pairing of an ultra-wide focal length and wide aperture with top-shelf image quality made it the sort of lens that was more than a tool — it became a real creative inspiration that I was excited to experiment with. It is clear Sigma really threw everything they could at the new version, and astrophotographers in particular should be excited about this option, though landscape, architectural, and even events photographers will likely find it worth a look. Check out the video above for Abbott's full thoughts on the lens.
