Coming to you from John Sison, this great video review takes a look at the Tamron 20mm f/2.8 Di III OSD M 1:2 lens. The 20mm f/2.8 is a versatile lens that comes with a variety of great features at a very affordable price, including:

  • Three Low Dispersion elements for reduced chromatic aberrations and increased clarity
  • One molded glass aspherical element for reduced distortion and increased sharpness
  • Broad-Band Anti-Reflection coating for reduced flares and ghosting and increased contrast
  • 1:2 maximum magnification (minimum focusing distance of 4.3 inches)
  • OSD stepping motor for fast and quiet autofocus
  • Full-time manual focus override
  • Moisture-resistant construction
  • Fluorine coating for dust and fingerprint resistance
  • Rounded seven-blade diaphragm for smoother bokeh

Altogether, the 20mm f/1.8 looks like a particularly interesting lens, especially given its semi-macro capabilities in tandem with a wide focal length, giving the potential for rather unique compositions. And its highly affordable price makes it an easy addition to any bag. Check out the video above for Sison's full thoughts on the lens.
