On April 29 we launched our first ever weekend hashtag project over on the @officialfstoppers Instagram. The theme for the inaugural shooting event was black and white photography. Many photographers contributed wonderful photos and here I’m sharing a selection of images that I enjoyed. We welcome you to join in on the second weekend hashtag project that was just launched and you too can have your photo published on Fstoppers. This weekend’s theme is "pattern" and I have all the details for you at the end of this article.
We kicked things off with black and white photography because not only is it easily accessible regardless of what genre photographers enjoy, its rawness is able to accentuate emotions and create some remarkable images. Below are featured selections from those that participated with the #FSblackandwhite hashtag. Thank you to all that participated with their amazing photos!
Weekend Hashtag Project 2: Pattern
This weekend we are shooting for the theme of “pattern.” Patterns in photography can give order and a certain serenity to an image. This is more than just simply finding a cool wallpaper pattern and taking a picture of it, a photographer will input their own style, creativity, as well as lighting and composition skills in order to make a pattern their own. This is a more literal example of photographing patterns, but we also welcome photographers to take the pattern theme and come up with something more abstract.
A selection of our favorite photos from this hashtag project will be featured here on Fstoppers.com as well on our Instagram.
SUBMISSION RULES: Please tag @officialfstoppers and add the #FSpattern hashtag to your original photo submissions on Instagram. Your photo must be newly uploaded over this weekend to be eligible and you must own the rights to the image.
Happy shooting!
